Source Update: New Columns, Call for Pitches
The latest on our direction and plans for 2017
It’s been quite a year—and we’ve been so fortunate to work alongside you, through it all. Here at Source, we’re going quiet until January 3 for our end-of-year break. When we return, you’ll meet our first-ever slate of columnists, who’ll be covering ethics, data design, security, and much more.
Pitch Pitch
In addition to our new columnists, we’re also flinging the doors open for freelance pitches, as the year begins. Here’s what we’re most interested in right now:
- Security, cryptography, and data hygiene for journalists and newsrooms
- Successful collaborations between news orgs
- Designing for accessibility
We’re also open for general pitches, as always.
And, of course, we always want your walkthroughs of interactive and data-heavy projects, newsroom tool teardowns, and team/culture thoughts.
Send any and all pitches to: source@opennews.org.
Thank You
Thanks, as always, for being part of our community. Source exists for you and because of you, and we’re honored to work on it among some of the best humans on the planet.
We’ll see you in January.
